In this time, we talk about why you are seeking therapy, what you are looking for in a therapist and next steps should you feel we are a match! I will answer questions you may have. We briefly then collect some basic information to initiate our therapeutic journey.

Sessions are 50 to 55 minutes long

This time is used to get to know you in a safe space. We discuss the therapeutic process, gather information by asking you questions and discuss policies and procedures. We may do some paperwork. Sometimes it can take up to four sessions to complete a full intake and evaluation and share about what you have been enduring that led you here.

This is all about you. Together, we will evaluate where you are right “now”, where you want to be, and what challenges may be holding you back from getting there. We will work together to build your toolbox so that you have the tools necessary to overcome and cope with the environment around you. It is really important that your therapy sessions happen weekly at the beginning of your journey.
